Our Beliefs

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe II Timothy 3:16

that the Bible is the Word of God and that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness.

We believe St. John 15:26-27

in the doctrine of the Trinity, that in one God there are three distinct persons; God (the Father), Jesus (the Son) and Holy Spirit (the Comforter).

We believe St. John 17 (all)

that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the 2nd person of the trinity. We believe that Holy Spirit is a divine person. He is the 3rd person of the trinity.

We believe Matthew 1:18, 20

in the virgin birth; Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, birthed through the Virgin Mary.

We believe Acts 3:19

repentance, commitment from the heart to turn away from sin in all areas of life to faithfully follow Jesus Christ.

We believe I Thessalonians 4:3; 5:23

sanctification. This is the continual process of yielding our lives to God. He desires to daily develop Christ’s character in us.

We believe Ephesians 2:8-9

in Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection.

We believe I John 1:7; Revelation 5:9

that the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin. He has redeemed us to God by His blood, out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.

We believe John 1:12

that Christ lives in all who has received Him into his or her heart. By which, one becomes a child of God.

We believe Acts 2:38-39

in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Holy Spirit’s purpose is to comfort, lead and guide us into all truth, for edification to the believer, to enhance our prayer life, and is a sign to the unbeliever.

We believe Mark 16:17-18

that divine healing of the sick is provided in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ’s shed blood and is available to all believers.

We believe II Corinthians 5:15

that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, was bodily resurrected from the dead.

We believe Ephesians 3:15

that Heaven is the eternal home for all believers who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We believe Matthew 25:41

that Hell is the place of eternal damnation and separation from God; prepared for the devil and his angels and those who do not accept God’s plan of Salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We believe Revelation 1:7

in the physical, visible return of Jesus Christ.

We believe Matthew 28:19

in water baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper.
